Dr. Rachel Yeager, is a licensed Naturopathic Physician (ND)

Dr. Rachel Yeager is a licensed naturopathic physician in Portland, OR, with a passion for treating complex chronic illness. After her own personal health journey, she chose to attend an accredited four-year naturopathic medical school to learn how to treat the root cause of disease, not just medicate the symptoms. Through clinical rotations and a year-long (1+ year) mentorship with Dr. Melanie Stein, Dr. Yeager has honed her skills in the areas of Lyme disease, IV therapy, detoxification protocols, autoimmune disease, chronic infections such as UTIs and sinusitis, and so much more. Dr. Yeager has completed ILADS training and is currently mentoring with Dr. Melanie Stein, who is certified in both the Horowitz and Shoemaker protocols.

Dr. Yeager values empathy and a holistic approach that integrates physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Health conditions can take a significant toll on lives and relationships and Dr. Yeager understands the frustration and emotional challenges that come with chronic illness. Before coming to Restorative Health Clinic, many patients have had to embark on an endless quest to find a doctor who actually understands their condition and is willing to listen.

Dr. Yeager treats most health conditions, with a special focus in the following:
Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and celiac disease
Lyme and other tick-borne disease
Mold and environmental biotoxin exposure
Stealth infections such as parasitic infections
Chronic or reactivated viral infections
Interstitial cystitis and chronic urinary tract infections
Food intolerances and chemical sensitivities
Autoimmune conditions

She believes in meeting each patient where they are at, and develops treatment plans collaboratively with her patients. Effective treatment needs to be tailored to the individual; there is no one-size-fits-all approach that works for everyone. To accomplish this customized and holistic approach, she employs a wide toolbox of diagnostic and treatment options, including specialty laboratory testing as well as medicinal herbs, pharmaceuticals, supplements, IV therapy, nutritional counseling, mind-body techniques, homeopathy, UNDAs, and hands-on therapeutic techniques. She is certified in Applied Kinesiology and is continually studying other modalities of medicine such as Chinese Medicine, TBM, and shamanism.

Medicine is constantly evolving and Dr. Yeager stays up to date on cutting edge treatments through her active ISEAI membership, ILADS conference participant, continuing education, research articles, and consultations with colleagues and pharmacists. For as much as Dr. Yeager imparts healing for her patients, she also values what patients have to teach her. She develops positive, trusting relationships with patients so that together, they can work toward optimal health and achieve wellness. In her free time, Dr. Yeager enjoys reading, hiking with her husband, and visiting her family in Arkansas and Missouri.
